Obsessed with yellow chairs.
I think it is an abandoned train station. I think it is in New Mexico. But...
Three sequential shots of Grand Isle.
We recently took a very quick trip to Iceland, in the middle of winter. Quite a bit of our time was spent snowed-in, after the worst storm they'd seen in twenty years. When we were finally able to get out, like the good little tourists we were, we did the Golden Circle. It was cold, wondrous, and full of Americans.
Above is the entrance to the dive site in Thingvellir. You can freshwater dive between the tectonic plates. We didn't have the time to do it on this trip, but maybe next time!
We went when we did in hopes of catching some good Aurora action. And on the plane we saw some! We took that as a sign of what was to come. But after staying up late night after night in rural accommodations with great views of the sky, we didn't see it again until our second to last night. At that point, we had given up and moved to Reykjavik in search of cocktails. It lasted maybe 10 minutes, most of that time I sent trying to get my boots on. So this is the only decent shot I got. Its not great, but it is a reminder of a great trip. And the Aurora Borealis is fucking amazing! I am so thankful I was able to experience it!
We began our trip to the Kamchatka Peninsula in Petropavlovsk. These are a couple shots from driving around town. The colors and cold air were the best.
Each window is unique. And those enclosed porches!
